Home Delivered Meal Program
The department on aging is looking for area agencies, organizations, church groups and individuals 18 years old or older, with a valid driver’s license, who are interested in volunteering for this program. Training includes filing department on aging HDM volunteer paperwork and a short orientation about the program. Volunteers can deliver meals on a weekly, bi-weekly, monthly or as needed/substitute basis.

Various Opportunities
Volunteers get the opportunity to participate in nearly every aspect of Geauga Park District’s daily operations: education, operations/maintenance, natural resources and more. As a Park District volunteer, you choose which programs and projects you will participate in and how much time you give.
Position Descriptions:
Must complete a volunteer application. If opportunities exist and interview will be scheduled, tasks will be assigned, a schedule will be established, and there will be ongoing training.
Helping Hands Program
The Helping Hands for Seniors program matches eligible older adults 60+ who reside independently in Lake or Geauga County with vetted volunteers 18+, who will assist them with daily activities essential for their health and safety.

Community-Based Match Program
In this program, a child is paired with an adult of the same sex; in a couple’s match, a married couple can be matched with a boy or a girl. Matches are based upon specific needs and similar interests to help build a healthy relationship and address any needs in a positive, healthy way. On average, 30 children are waiting to be matched; most are boys.
Volunteer Services and Auxiliary at University Hospitals Geauga Medical Center
Volunteers assist in more than 30 hospital functions, including patient transport, in-house mail delivery, food services, gift shop operations, and much more.

Project 60 Program
The Project 60 Program enables any Ohio resident, age 60 or older, to enroll in classes at Cleveland State University on a tuition-free, space-available basis. Students are responsible for purchasing their own textbooks, paying lab fees, transportation, paying for parking, and any other special fees.
Policies:
Senior Guest Program
The Senior Guest program at Kent State University enables persons 60 years of age or older to audit Kent State courses on a tuition-free, space-available basis, with university approval. Senior guests do not receive grades, and no credit is awarded. Senior Guests may select up to two (2) courses and one (1) alternative during a designated enrollment period.
Senior Citizen Audit Student Program
Lakeland offers senior citizens 60 years or older the opportunity to audit credit courses on a space-available basis and have the tuition waived providing the course prerequisites are met. Senior tuition waivers available!
